GoFundMe for Jake

As many of you already know — our good friend and longtime MTGGoldfish contributor of Playing Pauper and Commander Clash — Jake suffered from cardiac arrest on April 14th which put him into a coma. Jake managed to pull through and awoke from his coma, and is expected to make a full recovery. I want to thank everyone for the tremendous outpour of support from the Magic community that helped Jake, his wife Michelle, and their daughter Jamie.

However, the battle isn't over. Jake still needs an operation to get a defibilator installed his chest to prevent this from happening again. Anyone who has faced a medical emergency in the United States knows first hand of the absurdity of the healthcare system and the insane costs involved. Working with Michelle, we've put together a GoFundMe for Jake and his family to help with his medical expenses (thanks Tomer!). Anything helps and I encourge everyone to promote and share the GoFundMe, even if you cannot contribute personally. Go #teamjake.

Against the Odds: Red Deck Wins...By Not Letting You Play (Timeless)

Mono-Red Prison is my all time favorite deck, but it's not very good in Modern anymore. The good news is that some new additions mean it's time to teach Arena zoomers about the archetype in Timeless!

Duskmourn is a set that doesn't stop giving! We're going to take Scrabbling Skullcrab and other Mill cards in standard to the meta. Thanks to EOE, we've also got the perfect sweeper for a mill deck.
