World Magic Cup Qualifier Promo: Thalia, Guardian of Thraben

I haven't been this excited for a promo in a long time! The new artwork is awesome; people will definitely be seeking these out to pimp out their Legacy and EDH decks! These promos are given out to participants in the World Magic Cup Qualifiers (invite only).

New Judge Promos

More promotional cards! These are given out as perks for being a Judge, without whom we couldn't run any tournaments! Damnation is interesting as it also is the next MOCS promo. Does this mean we're not seeing it in Modern Masters 2015?

Banned and Restricted Announcement

The Banned and Restricted list was updated without much fanfare. Treasure Cruise banned in Pauper, Skullclamp banned in 100 card singleton (which is not EDH if you're wondering).

EDH Rules Update

The EDH committee made a controversial rules update this week: no more tucking! If an effect would cause your commander to be placed into your library or hand, you may instead put it into the command zone. Read more about this change here.

Card is Commonly Played With <x>

We've launched a "Commonly Played with in <format>" section to our card pages. Check it out at the bottom of the Thoughtseize page.

Budget Commander: Melek, Izzet Paragon

Sling a billion spells and cast epic experiments, all for glorious SCIENCE! Check out our latest Budget Commander deck: Melek, Izzet Paragon

The Multiple Rotations of Dragons of Tarkir

Did you know Dragons of Tarkir will survive TWO standard rotations? Find out why this is important! The Multiple Rotations of Dragons of Tarkir

Tournament Coverage

This past weekend marked the first weekend of tournament play with the new Dragons of Tarkir cards. We had the SCG Invitional (the SCG version of the Pro Tour), as well as an SCG Open, in addition to the regular Premier IQs.
