Eternal Masters Announced

Wizards announced Eternal Masters today, a set meant to supply Commander, Legacy and Vintage with eternal staples including these two beauties.

The set will be released June 10, 2016 and contain 249 cards. The three letter code is EMA and packs will have an MSRP of $9.99. This release is for Paper Magic (hence no Reserved List cards will be included) and Magic Online. See the official Eternal Masters page for more details.

From the Wizards Play Network Eternal Masters page, the guaranteed supply for stores is as follows:

  • 2–3 cases for WPN Core level stores
  • 3–6 cases for WPN Advanced level stores
  • 6–12 cases for WPN Advanced Plus level stores

Note that this is less than Modern Masters 2015, which had 2-3 cases, 5-6 cases, and 9-12 cases for the respective levels.

Single Scoop: Izzet is Still a Problem Post Banning

The bannings will weaken Izzet but Izzet has so many good cards that I think it'll still be a top tier deck thanks to efficient answers like Into the Floodmaw and powerhouses like Proft's Eidetic Memory!
