100% Monocolor vs. 100% Multicolor vs. 100% Colorless vs. 100% Hybrid | Commander Clash S19 E1

Hello everyone, and welcome back to Commander Clash! This week, we kick of season 19 with a new cast member and some updates to our house ban list! First, editor Morgan, who you probably know from filling in on some Commander Clash Podcast episodes, will be joining the crew this season, with Phil getting a break. (But if you're a Phil fan, don't worry—he'll still be on the Commander Clash Podcast each week.) Second, after much debate, we decided to add two new cards to our house ban list this season: The One Ring and Teferi's Protection. If you look at the stats from last season, those two cards were the most played in the Clash meta, so we decided to add them to the ban list, alongside everything that was banned last season (fast mana like Sol Ring and Ancient Tomb, along with Smothering Tithe, Rhystic Study, Trouble in Pairs, Field of the Dead, and Glacial Chasm).

Anyway, with all that out of the way, we have the ultimate color battle this week, with a 100% monocolor deck battling a 100% multicolor deck, a 100% colorless deck, and a 100% hybrid deck. Here's what we've got!

House Bans

A new season means an update to the house ban list! Alongside the official Commander ban list, everything banned last season remains banned, while two new cards join the list in The One Ring and Teferi's Protection. Here's the full list:

Next Week: Commander, but Damage Doesn't Exist

Would Commander be better without that pesky damage floating around? Come back next week to find out!

Single Scoop: Izzet is Still a Problem Post Banning

The bannings will weaken Izzet but Izzet has so many good cards that I think it'll still be a top tier deck thanks to efficient answers like Into the Floodmaw and powerhouses like Proft's Eidetic Memory!
