Single Scoop: Izzet Prowess is Back?
Game Plan
The deck is all about firing a ton of cheap spells off and hoping we can just kill our opponent before they can sweep us.
A few of the sweet new cards to help us close out the game early are going to be Monastery Swiftspear which has shown us in prior formats that this card is definitely a powerhouse of a one-drop. The other card benefiting from all of our casting will be Third Path Iconoclast which will generate us an army of little robot soldiers to beat down with. Those additional 1/1s will play very nicely with Balmor, Battlemage Captain. The captain and a few tokens will almost assuredly close out a game if left unanswered.
I haven't given up on Jaya, Fiery Negotiator either. I think the card will eventually find a home and maybe she could be our top end in the event we need to get to a late game?
Conclusion
The deck is a rough draft, and I'll be working on this list more on stream. For example, during the filming of the video, I completely forgot to add Ancestral Anger and Reckless Impulse as a way for us to keep our engine going. Another thing that might be time to accept is that Delver of Secrets might not be playable in a blue-based tempo deck. So I'm probably going to cut Delver and add more Third Path Iconoclasts and spells.
